Private Charters: Reschedule / Refund Policy

A lot of planning goes in behind the scenes to ensure you have a wonderful day on the water. Charter 1 reserves the right to reschedule your charter if we deem conditions to be unsafe or extremely unpleasant. Clouds, rain or low temperature are not grounds for cancellation. We monitor weather forecasts daily for at least 7 days in advance and take a number of conditions into account. We will always try to give you as much notice as possible if we have any concerns as we know you are also busy planning for your big day.

In the event we do need to cancel your charter we will work with you to reschedule on a comparable time/date that suits you.

Please talk to us in advance if you have any concerns. If for unforeseen reasons you are required to cancel your charter (please notify us in writing) the following will apply:

  • More than 1 months notice:  Refund less 25% of charter fee
  • More than 2 weeks noticeRefund less 50% of charter fee
  • Less than 2 weeks notice:  100% loss of charter fee
  • Reschedules:  At the discretion of management only. Generally not available in peak season months.  Our policy is firm because once we’ve booked you onto a date/timeslot, we will often turn away a lot of all other bookings for this same date/time.

Public Tours: Reschedule / Refund Policy

Tour departures are subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. A lot of planning goes in behind the scenes to ensuring minimum numbers are met and that you get to experience your tour on your chosen date.

Requests for reschedules must be made in writing to info@charter1.com.au.  Please quote your booking reference and requested changes. Please note only one reschedule will be allowed per booking and the following rules regarding advance notice apply:

  • At least 72 hours notice:   Permitted. Alternative date must be chosen at the time. Further changes are not permitted.
  • 24-72 hours noticeIncurs a $25pp late change fee. Further changes are not permitted.
  • Less than 24 hours noticeNot permitted.

Charter 1 reserves the right to reschedule tours where minimum numbers are not met or when unsafe weather conditions are forecast, or on the rare occasion of mechanical failure. We will always try to give you as much notice as possible. The final decision is at the discretion of the skipper on the day. If your tour is cancelled by us due to inclement weather (which is at the sole discretion of Charter 1), we will work with you to find an alternate suitable date, or an alternative experience of at least equal value, or provide you with a refund.

Guest name transfers are permitted if at least 24 hours notice is given in writing. Please provide guests full name, mobile number and email address.

If you are late, we cannot hold up the vessel and other guests for you so please always be waiting at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

$50 Monthly Draw T&C’s

Eligible to new subscribers only. One winner will be chosen by excel random number generator and notified via email.  Winners receive a $50 voucher to us on any purchase over the value of $150 within the next 60 days. May be used on any tour product or gift card. Must be used in one transaction. Credits for unspent amounts cannot be given or rolled over.
