Escape to Rottnest Island: A Full Day Sailing Adventure

Secluded Bays and Close Encounters Await!

Spend a day exploring the stunning waters of Rottnest Island by luxury sailing catamaran. This full-day Rottnest Island tour isn’t your average island hop; it’s an exclusive full day sailing experience offering a unique perspective of the island’s natural beauty.

Immerse yourself in turquoise waters as you explore coral reefs teeming with marine life. Keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins or curious sea lions!* Test your paddling skills on the kayaks, ride on the huge cargo net, or simply kick back and relax on the spacious trampolines up front as you soak in all that fresh ocean air.

To complete your memorable day, get ready to feel the ocean spray as we raise the sails for our return journey, powered by the famous “Freo Doctor.” Want to get more involved? Lend a hand with raising or lowering the sails – it’s a great chance to experience sailing firsthand!

This small group tour, limited to 24 guests, ensures a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for lifelong memories to be made and new friendships formed.
Let our friendly crew guide you on a journey of discovery, revealing the wonders of Rottnest Island’s coastline by sailboat. A buffet lunch and a morning tea are included, along with your marine park fee and snorkeling equipment. Prescription masks are also available for hire.

Please ensure you have read the “Need to Know” information tab before booking. This is a fully water-based tour departing from and returning to Fremantle. It does not disembark at the island.

History Of Rottnest

The island with a thousand stories...The geographical history of Rottnest Island has been dominated by changes in sea level. These changes occurred either as sea water became trapped and released when ice sheets advanced and retreated, or as the land slowly rose and fell in response to changing stresses in the earth's crust. It is believed that Rottnest Island was separated from the mainland 7,000 years ago. The sea level rose, cutting the Island off from the land mass, and it is now the largest in a chain of islands (which includes Garden and Carnac Islands) on the continental shelf opposite Perth. These islands all are formed of limestone rocks with a thin covering of sand. The limestone base of Rottnest Island has an effect on all life on the Island, including the types of plants which can grow on it, the species of animals which can feed upon the plants, and the extent to which humans can make use of the Island.
