About Charter 1

History

Charter 1 was founded in 1994 by Stefano and Helen Piviali. From 2000 to 2004 Rick Williams was a partner in Charter 1. In February 2004 Mr Williams sold his half share in the business to Troy and Rachelle Lampard from Broome.

It is a company that provides tourists and locals with the ultimate charter boating for both small and large groups. Features that Charter 1 offers include marine wild-life interaction, whale watching, corporate functions (this can be for dinner and lunch), team building, river and coastal sightseeing, intimate sundowners, just to name a few.

The flagship for Charter 1, Capella, is a new state-of-the-art 12.5 metre Sailing Catamaran. It is named after the biggest yellow star in the universe, and is easily seen from afar on the Swan River or Cable Beach, thanks to its brilliant yellow hull."Capella" now operates in Perth from October to March and in Broome and the Kimberley from April to September.
